About QR Code Tools

QR Code Tools is a free toolkit for generating and scanning QR codes — URLs, WiFi networks, contact cards, and more — directly in your web browser. There's no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many codes you create or scan.

Why is it free?

Every tool here runs in your own browser using plain JavaScript, not a server we operate. Because we're not paying to process anything on our own infrastructure, there's no per-use cost to pass on — the site is instead supported by advertising.

Nothing you enter ever leaves your device

Every QR code on this site is generated and scanned locally, in your browser's own memory. Whatever you type into the generator — a URL, a WiFi password, a contact's phone number — is only ever used to draw the code on your screen. We can't see it, because we never receive it.
